Responsibilities

As an Expert Underwriter Property, you play a central role within the underwriting team. You are the technical reference in your field and support management and fellow underwriters with complex cases. Your expertise contributes to the quality, profitability, and growth of the portfolio.

In practice, this means you:

• Analyze the causes of lower profitability and propose solutions.
• Assess complex risks, calculate premiums, negotiate, and prepare tailored quotes and policies.
• Actively participate in the development and adaptation of the acceptance policy, methods, and tools used.
• Serve as the key contact for Sales, Pricing, Legal & Product, providing guidance for national-level decisions.
• Monitor market and legal developments to strengthen product quality and competitiveness.

Profile

You combine analytical thinking with strong commercial and interpersonal skills. Your experience allows you to accurately assess complex risks while maintaining a healthy balance between profitability and client satisfaction.

Additionally, you possess:

• Relevant experience in Property Underwriting.
• Fluency in Dutch and French.
• Strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Solution-oriented mindset, independence, and a healthy team spirit.
• Good understanding of B2B processes and commercial client operations.
