Deputy COO South
A fast-growing broker seeking a Deputy COO South in driving sales, operational excellence, commercial performance, and strategic execution across its Brussels, Wallonia, and Luxembourg offices. This role is a key player in translating strategy into action, ensuring consistent governance, operational discipline, and supporting growth — both organic and via M&A integration.
Key Responsibilities
Performance & Reporting
Accelerate commercial growth with a strong sales focus
Monitor financial and operational performance: budgeting, forecasting, KPI tracking
Ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with group standards
Support EBITDA improvement through cost control, efficiency gains, and revenue initiatives
Operational Excellence & Execution
Oversee daily operations across sales, underwriting, claims, and support functions
Act as a sparring partner for office leaders on performance, operational challenges, and change initiatives
Translate strategy into actionable plans for the South region
Governance & Standards
Implement effective governance structures (management forums, steering committees, reporting lines)
Ensure consistent application of compliance, cybersecurity, HR, and operational quality standards
Transformation & Integration
Lead post-merger integration and process harmonization across offices
Drive operational improvements, digitalization, and standardization
Act as a change agent, fostering collaboration and alignment across offices
Growth & M&A Support
Identify growth opportunities within the region
Support M&A lead follow-up, due diligence, and integration planning
Reporting & Team
Reports directly to the COO South
Works closely with office leaders and central teams
Supports operations across all South Region offices, ensuring alignment with group standards
What are we looking for
Proven commercial, operational or deputy leadership experience within insurance
Strong understanding of B2B insurance brokerage operations and regulatory frameworks
Experience in multi-site organizations and/or buy-and-build contexts
Excellent execution, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in French and English; Dutch is a plus
