Your Role
As a Claims Specialist, you will handle commercial claims from start to finish: from initial notification to settlement. You will analyse, assess, and make decisions regarding complexity, liability, and claim amounts, working closely with all relevant stakeholders including brokers, policyholders, subcontractors, and internal teams.
You will be responsible for:
Handling claims efficiently and fairly in line with internal guidelines and the Claims Charter / Code of Conduct
Reviewing new notifications and determining the appropriate level of handling
Collaborating with managers and colleagues on complex and high-value claims
Advising on legal documents, terms, and contracts
Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ensuring accurate file maintenance, reserves, and reporting

Your Profile
Law degree preferred
Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial insurance claims
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
Experience coaching and developing junior team members
Independent, proactive, and dynamic personality
Good IT skills and proficient in reporting and system usage
